Staying safe and keeping in touch

Let's Get Wellington Moving's team members are working from home while the COVID-19 alert level 4 restrictions apply. We're also following the regular updates on the official COVID-19 website here: www.covid19.govt.nz

While we're fortunate we can work away from the office, we're conscious that many people can't, or have other priorities they need to focus on right now.

With this in mind, we're reviewing our engagement approach and looking at how we can engage with the public and stakeholders in these challenging times.

We'll have more to say on this soon.

Central city speed limits consultation closing

We've received more than 1,500 submissions on our proposal to lower speed limits on most central city streets to 30km/h. Most of these were made before the COVID-19 restrictions kicked in.

As such, we've decided to maintain the closing date of 5pm today, Tuesday 31 March.

We will review and summarise all feedback, so it can be considered by Wellington City Council.

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, all public Council meetings and hearings have been deferred at the moment.

If you asked to appear in front of Councillors to support your submission, you'll still have this opportunity, but we don't yet know when this will be. The Council team will be in touch when dates have been set for these hearings.
