LGWM partners agree next steps
All three partners agreed to support the next steps – including investigation of the major LGWM projects and the development of the early delivery programme.
The government announced the indicative package for LGWM on 16 May 2019. The indicative package includes many, but not all, the elements in the Recommended Programme of Investment.

The recommended programme was agreed by LGWM in late 2018 and used as the starting point for engagement with central government on the way to developing an indicative package.

Reporting your feedback
People gave us a wealth of feedback about the scenarios in the public engagement, their preferences, and what they’d like to see changed or improved. An independent consultant analysed and reported on the feedback from more than 2000 people and 50 stakeholder groups.

Publishing our Progress Report
We released a Progress Report. This outlined the problems that Let’s Get Wellington Moving is addressing, summarised the work we’ve done so far, and provided some insights about the data we’ve gathered.
We used the assessment criteria to help filter a long list of scenarios to create a draft short list of scenarios.

Defining the problem
By understanding what people thought about Wellington as well as the hard data, we were able to identify Wellington City’s current transport system problems.
Public feedback helped us define 12 guiding principles to be used as the basis for planning and assessing potential solutions.
