Golden Mile improvements
We’re revitalising the Golden Mile to move more people with fewer vehicles, creating space for thriving and attractive streets in the heart of Wellington.

Working with the people of Wellington to improve our transport and create a more liveable city.
Over the next 30 years, 50,000 to 80,000 more people will call Wellington home. We need to start changing now to fix existing transport problems and support our city’s growing population.
Transport is responsible for about 53% of Wellington’s carbon emissions, contributing to global warming and rising sea levels.
